AAE101 Academic Ascent essentials: study + organizational skills

We've developed this fundamental learning program specifically for students who need either a brand new start, or a significant reboot to their current self-study and academic work routine.
In this five-session unit, we first take some time to understand how the student currently prepares and executes academically, what might be working, what might not, what should be eliminated, etc.
After that we'll shift into gear on identifying and implementing best practices and strategies to keep track of assignments and manage time, design a work space that fosters productivity, and explore a variety of methods to prepare for classroom assessments. Unwanted behaviors or distractions (such as phones "on" during productive time) must also be addressed and undesired habits discontinued, and we'll touch on that too as necessary. The program calls attention to the student's own self-regulation and personal ownership of their habits to be the key drivers that determine the success or failure of their plan. Taking responsibility is key to personal & academic success.
That said, new habits are hard. We all know they are. That's why at the completion of the course your academic coach will help to create a check-in plan as-needed to reinforce any concepts if they start to slip, or to help with other academic challenges that might come up. You can choose to meet as frequently or infrequently as you like, your academic coach (like any coach) is there to see you through, not just this one challenge, but for as long as you need us and continue to benefit.

Q: How long is each session?
A: Each session will last about 35-55 minutes, depending on the student.
Q: How long does it take to complete the program?
A: Typically, at one session per week the program is completed by Week Five.
Q: What grade level range is appropriate for Academic Ascent Essentials?
A: The concepts taught in AAE can be modified some to fit thestudent's academic stage, but generally speaking the content is most appropriate for students in Grade 6 and above.
Q: What is the cost and what is included?
A: The cost for Academic Ascent Essentials is $500 and includes five 35-to 55-minute sessions and class materials.
Q: What if more than four sessions are needed for a student?
A: Everyone learns differently and occasionally some may need additional sessions to complete the program. In those situations, we will invoice you the educator's hourly bill rate.
Q: What methods of payment do you accept?
A: Our preferred method of payment is fast and free via Zelle, which is available through almost all banks nationwide. You may also pay by check through snail mail, but your class schedule cannot be confirmed prior to receipt of payment. We also accept both Venmo & Paypal (plus a processing fee). If you would like to pay via Venmo or Paypal, please let us know and we will send you a payment request.
Q: Is this class something I can get reimbursed for?
A: Various states and school systems offer programs providing for reimbursement for certain educational expenses. Academic Ascent will provide client support for educational claims for reimbursement, but makes no claim or guarantee that any of its programs are reimbursable.
Q: Are educational expenses tax deductible?
A: That's definitely a question for your CPA!
